In short

An Eisenhower matrix template for Google Sheets – and an offline app

Eisenhower Matrix Planner is a one-time download: an offline web app (no account needed) plus a separate Google Sheets™ template (free Google account) for sorting tasks by urgency and importance, ranking what comes first and weighing bigger decisions with your own criteria. No subscription.

When everything feels urgent, a long to-do list stops helping. This Eisenhower matrix template asks two questions per task – is it important to you, and is it urgent? – and places it in Do, Schedule, Delegate or Drop, by name and count, not by color alone. Too many tasks in Do? The web app shows them two at a time and builds the ranking from your answers, so your top 3 are clear. Bigger choices get your own criteria, weights and a score from 0 to 100, plus a journal for what you chose and why.

It doesn't decide for you. Every quadrant, rank and score comes from your answers and fixed rules explained on the Help page. Nothing is deleted, handed off or moved on its own – Delegate and Drop are only suggestions.

An organizing tool – not a medical tool.

What it does

Sort in two questions

  • Important? Five answers from Yes to No, and Not sure leaves a task unsorted until you decide
  • Urgent? Answer it yourself or let the due date decide – within 2 days counts as urgent, adjustable from 0 to 30 days
  • Your choice wins: a task marked not urgent stays put when overdue, with a visible note

The four quadrants

  • Do, Schedule, Delegate and Drop with task names and counts, not colors alone
  • Delegate and Drop are suggestions – nothing is deleted or moved for you
  • A 2×2 grid on a computer, four cards on a phone

A or B – your top 3 (web app)

  • Choose up to 20 Do tasks and answer This One First or About Equal
  • Binary insertion keeps it short: six tasks need at most 11 questions instead of 15 pairs
  • Pause any time and pick up where you stopped

Decisions and a journal

  • Up to 6 options × 6 criteria, weights 1–5, ratings 0–5, a score from 0 to 100 and the gap to second place
  • Gaps of 5 points or less are flagged as close; you may still pick another option
  • A decision journal – worked out, didn't work out or mixed – where saved scores never change

Rules and the weekly review

  • Personal rules such as a two-minute rule show a tip on screen and never act
  • A weekly overview of sorted and completed tasks, rankings and decisions – no streaks

Web app or Google Sheets?

Both versions sort tasks into four quadrants and score decisions. Two separate files – pick the one that fits how you work. They don't sync.

How it works

  1. Buy on Etsy

Check out on Etsy, then download your files in a web browser – not in the Etsy app.

  2. Open START HERE

The guide shows which web app file to open and has your Google Sheets copy links and the link for iPhone and iPad.

  3. Start planning

Open the web app in your browser, or make your own copy of the Google Sheets template, and add your first entry.

More about how it works

Is it right for you?

A good fit if you …

  • have more tasks than time and want to see what comes first
  • find it easier to choose between two things than to rank a whole list
  • want to weigh a bigger choice with criteria you set yourself
  • like rules you can read and suggestions you're free to ignore

Maybe not the right fit if you …

Good to know

  • This is a self-guided planning and decision-support tool, not medical treatment, financial advice or legal advice.
  • The web app works offline and stores data locally in your browser – clearing browser data can erase it, so export JSON backups regularly. No push notifications or background reminders
  • Web app and Google Sheets work independently and do not sync; the interactive pairwise ranking is a web app feature
  • Instant digital download – no physical item will be shipped
  • For personal use only – sharing, forwarding or reselling the files is not allowed

Questions about the Eisenhower Matrix Planner

Does the app decide for me?

No. It sorts and calculates from your answers with fixed rules. You make every choice, even against the highest score.

Do I need an account?

The web app needs no account. The Google Sheets version needs a free Google account. There is no stillmeasure. account and no subscription.

Where is my data saved – and do the two versions sync?

In the web app, in your browser on that device, not inside the HTML file – use the same file in the same browser and export a backup now and then. In Google Sheets, in your own copy in Google Drive. The two versions don't sync.

Does it work on my iPhone?

iPhone & iPad: open the web-app link from your START HERE guide in Safari and add it to your Home Screen. A downloaded HTML file on its own only opens as a preview on iPhone and iPad.

Can I rank my tasks in Google Sheets too?

Yes, with manual rank numbers: you give your Do tasks the ranks 1, 2, 3 and so on. The A-or-B comparison is a web app feature.

Will it remind me of due dates?

No. There are no notifications or background reminders. Due dates show in the matrix, the Do queue and on the dashboard.

Can I use it in Excel?

It isn't supported. The spreadsheet version is built for Google Sheets.
