Already bought? Get started

Bought a stillmeasure. tool on Etsy? Here's how to download your files, open the web app, set it up on iPhone or iPad, keep a backup of your entries and fix the most common problems.

Download your files

With an Etsy account

  1. Open etsy.com in a web browser – on a computer, if you can. Downloads don't work in the Etsy app.
  2. Sign in and go to You → Purchases and reviews.
  3. Click Download files next to your order and save each file.

Checked out as a guest?

Use the download link in the order email from Etsy – open it in a web browser.

Your phone keeps opening the Etsy app?

Type etsy.com into Safari or Chrome yourself and sign in there. If it keeps switching to the app, use a computer for the download – you can move the files to your phone afterwards.

What's in your download

Five files:

  • Three web app files – one each for the US, International and German edition. They end in .html.
  • START HERE.pdf – your guide in English.
  • START HIER.pdf – the same guide in German.

The Google Sheets™ templates aren't files: you copy them into your own Google Drive with the links in your guide. (PDF E-Sign has no Google Sheets version.)

Open START HERE first

Your guide is the map for everything else. It shows:

  • which web app file belongs to your region
  • the Make a copy links for the Google Sheets templates – blank and with sample data
  • the web-app links and QR codes for iPhone and iPad
  • a short setup and a Quick Help page for your tool

These links are only in your guide. We don't publish them on this website, so keep the PDF somewhere you can find it again.

Open the web app

Pick the file for your region: US, International (UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada) or German (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

On a computer (Windows or Mac)

  1. Move the HTML file to a permanent folder – not just Downloads.
  2. Double-click it. It opens in your browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
  3. Always open the same file in the same browser. That's where your entries are saved.

Tip: bookmark the page in your browser so it's one click away.

On an Android phone or tablet

Open the file from your Downloads and choose Chrome. Save a bookmark so you can find it again.

Your entries are saved in your browser on that device – not inside the HTML file. A copy of the file on another computer starts empty until you restore a backup there.

iPhone and iPad

iPhone & iPad: open the web-app link from your START HERE guide in Safari and add it to your Home Screen. A downloaded HTML file only opens as a preview there, so the app can't run from the file. Step by step:

  1. Open the link for your edition in Safari – or scan its QR code with the iPhone camera.
  2. Tap Share (the square with the arrow) → Add to Home Screen → Add.
  3. Open the planner from the new icon. It now works like an app, also offline.

Your entries are saved on that iPhone or iPad, separately from your computer – the two don't sync. To move entries, download a backup on one device and restore it on the other. Your Google Sheets copy works in the Google Sheets app on iPhone and iPad as well.

Every planner's START HERE guide has the same link and Home Screen steps. If something doesn't work on your iPhone or iPad – opening, saving or a backup – please write to us with your iOS version and the planner's name.

Back up your data

The web app saves your entries in your browser, not in the HTML file. Clearing browser data, switching to another browser or moving to a new device means your entries aren't there. A backup file covers all three.

  • Make a backup: open the planner's settings and use the backup button. Depending on the planner, it's called Download backup, Export backup or Create backup – your START HERE guide shows where it is.
  • Restore it: open the same planner on the new device or browser and use Restore backup or Import backup.
  • Keep the file safe: for example in a folder you back up anyway, or on a USB stick.

We recommend a backup once a month, or after a big round of entries.

In Google Sheets, your copy lives in your Google Drive. If something goes wrong, File → Version history brings back an earlier version.

PDF E-Sign keeps your saved signature and settings in the browser. Your signed PDFs are saved as new files in your device's Downloads.

Troubleshooting

The HTML file opens as text or code

Open the file that ends in .html with Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari – not with a text editor. On Windows, right-click the file → Open with → choose your browser. On a Mac, right-click → Open With → Safari or Chrome.

My entries are gone

Open the same HTML file in the same browser on the same device. Changed the browser or the computer? Restore your latest backup. If browser data was cleared and there's no backup, the old entries may no longer be available.

On my iPhone the file only shows a preview

That's how iPhone and iPad handle downloaded HTML files. Use the web-app link from your START HERE guide – see iPhone and iPad.

Google Sheets says I need access

Sign in with your free Google account and use the Make a copy link from your START HERE guide. It creates your own copy in your Google Drive. If it still asks for access, write to us and we'll check the link.

Numbers in Google Sheets don't update

In the templates, white cells are for your input and shaded cells calculate. Type only in the white cells. If a formula got overwritten, File → Version history brings back an earlier version.

I can't find my download

See Download your files. Checked out as a guest? The link is in Etsy's order email.

Still stuck?

Write to us with the contact form or at contact@stillmeasure.com – or message the shop on Etsy. Please tell us:

  • the tool and your edition (US, International or German)
  • your device and browser, for example "Windows laptop, Chrome" or "iPhone, Safari"
  • what you did and what happened – a screenshot helps

Please don't put order numbers into links, and never send card details or passwords.

If a file has an error, the fix for your version is free – we'll tell you how to get the updated file.
