How it works
How stillmeasure. planners work
Every stillmeasure. tool is a digital download with two formats: an offline web app that opens in your browser, and a Google Sheets™ template. Here's what that means – before you buy, and after.
From purchase to your first entry
- Buy on Etsy. Choose a tool and check out on Etsy. It's a one-time purchase – no subscription, and no stillmeasure. account.
- Download your files. Open Etsy in a web browser and go to You → Purchases and reviews → Download files. Downloads don't work in the Etsy app, so use a browser – on a computer, if you can. Checked out as a guest? Use the download link in Etsy's order email.
- Open START HERE. Your download has five files: the web app in three editions, a START HERE guide in English and a START HIER guide in German. The guide has your Google Sheets copy links, your iPhone and iPad link and a short setup.
- Pick your format and start. Open the web app for your region, or make your own copy of the Google Sheets template. The tools come with example data, so you can look around before you enter your own.
Two formats in every purchase
The offline web app
A single HTML file that works like a small app in your browser.
- Opens in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on Windows or Mac, and with Chrome on Android phones and tablets
- No installation, no account, no subscription for the web app
- Works offline once it's open
- Your entries are saved in your browser on that device – nothing you type is uploaded
- Download a backup file at any time and restore it on another device or browser (PDF E-Sign has no backup file – your signed PDFs are saved as separate files)
The Google Sheets template
A ready-made spreadsheet you copy into your own Google Drive.
- Comes blank and with sample data, for each of the three editions
- Dashboards, charts and formulas are built in
- Needs a free Google account and usually an internet connection
- Works in the browser and in the Google Sheets app
They don't sync
The web app and the Google Sheets version are separate files. What you enter in one doesn't appear in the other. You can pick one format and stay with it, or use them for different things – for example the web app on your computer and the spreadsheet when you want to work in a table or print a page.
PDF E-Sign is the one exception: it's a web app only, with no Google Sheets version.
| Topic | Offline web app | Google Sheets |
|---|---|---|
| Account | None needed | Free Google account |
| Works offline | Yes | Usually needs internet |
| Where your data lives | In your browser, on this device | In your Google Drive |
| Backup | Download a backup file | Google's version history |
| Runs on | Computer and Android; iPhone and iPad via the Home Screen link | Browser or the Google Sheets app |
Three editions in every purchase
You don't have to choose before you buy – all three editions are included. Each one uses the date format and the labels of its region.
| Edition | Made for | Dates | Labels |
|---|---|---|---|
| US | United States | 10/12/2026 (month first) | English |
| International | UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada | 12/10/2026 (day first) | English |
| German | Germany, Austria, Switzerland | 12.10.2026 | German |
Tools that work with money are set up for the currencies of their region, such as US dollars, pounds or euros. Your START HERE guide shows which file belongs to which edition.
Which devices work?
Computer (Windows or Mac)
Save the HTML file in a permanent folder – not just Downloads – and open it in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Always open the same file in the same browser. That's where your entries are saved.
Android phone or tablet
Open the file from your Downloads and choose Chrome. Tip: save a bookmark so you can find it again.
iPhone and iPad
iPhone & iPad: open the web-app link from your START HERE guide in Safari and add it to your Home Screen. A downloaded HTML file only opens as a preview there, so the app can't run from the file. Step by step:
- Open the web-app link from your START HERE guide in Safari – or scan its QR code with the camera.
- Tap Share → Add to Home Screen → Add.
- Open the planner from the new icon. It now works like an app, also offline.
Your entries are saved on that iPhone or iPad, separately from your computer. To move them, download a backup on one device and restore it on the other.
Every START HERE guide has the same link and steps. If something doesn't work on your device, please write to us.
Google Sheets on any device
Make your copy from the link in your guide, then use it in the browser or in the Google Sheets app.
Where your data lives
- Web app: in your browser's storage on that device. It isn't inside the HTML file, and it isn't uploaded anywhere.
- Google Sheets: in your own copy in your Google Drive, under your Google account.
- Backups: in the web app's settings, download a backup and keep the file somewhere safe. If browser data is cleared, or you switch devices, restore it from there.
- Different browser, different data: Chrome and Safari on the same computer each keep their own entries. So do your computer and your phone.
We recommend downloading a backup regularly – for example once a month, or after a big round of entries.
What the tools don't do
We'd rather tell you now than after you've bought:
- No syncing between the web app and Google Sheets, or between devices
- No reminders or notifications – timers and countdowns run only while the app is open
- No bank or shop connection and no automatic imports – everything comes from what you enter
- No stillmeasure. account and no cloud backup – the web app needs no account, and backups are files you download
- No advice – the money tools aren't financial or tax advice, and the ADHD and wellbeing tools are organizing tools, not a medical tool
Your license
Each purchase is for your personal use. Please don't share, forward or resell the files. The web app files contain several hidden digital fingerprints that identify them as stillmeasure. originals, so copies can be recognized. Read the license
